For one year only in 1996 Corvette offered a modified LT1 that was labeled the LT4 which pumped out 330hp through higher compression, revised cam, roller rockers and other tweaks, it was available as an option on manual transmission cars only and was the standard engine in the 1996 Corvette Grand Sport.
