Description
The LS6 was the highest horsepower engine that the factory ever installed in the Chevelle with 450 pavement pounding horsepower and 500 lbs. of torque.
This is a fresh frame-off restoration. Numbers matching and fully documented 1970 SS 454 Chevelle LS6.
The quality of the meticulous restoration on this Cortez Silver beauty is outstanding. It's one of the nicest LS6 Chevelles you'll ever find. The sheet metal is straight as an arrow.
Documentation includes the original invoice from Forrest Chevrolet-Cadillac in Cleburne, Texas, as well as inspection sheet with the following options: LS6 454ci/450hp engine, HD M22 4 speed transmission, 4.10:1 12 bolt positraction rear-end, F41 suspension, cowl induction hood, sports stripes, power steering, power front disc brakes, HD battery, special instrumentation, sport steering wheel, tilt steering column, bucket seats, console, AM push button radio and Z15 454 SS package.
The 1970 LS6 Chevelle SS was affectionately known as America's King Of The Streets. This is a special car and will retain a high value and desirability for collectors.
